Before

Mowing:

Lawns are cut in balanced patterns, and all edges and border areas will be hand trimmed to remove overgrowth to maintain a crisp appearance. Grass clippings are removed from walkways, driveways, and landscape.

Mulch beautifies the landscape by distinguishing ornamental plants from the surrounding lawn or pavement. Mulches also help maintain strong and healthy plants by conserving moisture, providing a more uniform temperature for roots, preventing lawn mower damage, and reducing weed growth; allowing new plants to establish themselves while improving your landscape’s appearance.

Mulch:

Landscape beds that contain mulch will be re-mulched every spring with high-quality triple-ground bark mulch. Just enough mulch is applied to “dress up” the landscape, and reduce weed growth, while at the same time protecting against the over-mulching of valuable large feature trees and root collars.

Re-Edging Landscape Beds:

Landscape beds and mulched areas, bordered by turf, will be mechanically or hand-edged providing an outline of landscape features. Edging not only improves the look of the landscape, but it helps keep the turf areas separate from mulched areas.

Attractive, location appropriate flowers, trees, and shrubs will be selected and planted to your specifications. Planting beds of annuals, perennials, flowering shrubs, or ornamental grasses can add seasonal color and harmony to your landscape. Large caliper trees are available.

Weed Control:

Target areas are treated to control weeds; the following are standard: drip edges, driveways, select stone drainage swales, select areas of landscape beds and tree planting rings.
